New York City based ensemble loadbang will present a program titled IRRATIONAL, featuring music for their unique instrumentation (trumpet, trombone, bass clarinet, and baritone voice) by Taylor Brook Chaya Czernowin, Alex Mincek, Li Qi, Heather Stebbins, and ensemble member William Lang. Since their founding in 2008, they premiered over 300 works and have been praised as ‘cultivated’ by The New Yorker, ‘an extra-cool new music group’ and ‘exhilarating’ by the Baltimore Sun, ‘inventive’ by the New York Times and called a ‘formidable new-music force’ by TimeOutNY.
